Bin Activators

Bin activators or commonly called silo unloaders avoid the need for an operator to hammer out the silo outlet. The blows may deform the surface of the silo, aggravating the problem. They are excellent equipment! to help solve flow problems.

Introduction

Vibratory discharger nozzles, when attached to silos or bins, move material through the entire section of the bin. This means that the flow is increased by their influence, and convenient discharge occurs.

This is necessary because problems often occur in silos, which are described below:

1. Bridge formation

In some materials, when silos are badly dimensioned, or when their correct dimensioning would make them gigantic, bridge formation occurs due to the internal resistance of the material. The figure at the side shows the visual characteristic of this phenomenon.

2. Formation of chimneys

Only the central part of the material flows, in other words, that part which is over the silo outlet nozzle. For this, see the picture beside.

3. Demixing

Only the fine particles tend to flow optimally, with the larger ones remaining in the silo. This flow of fine material is also central, incurring in the demixing of the material. The picture beside shows the demixing, with the fine particles concentrated in the center.

These problems can all be solved with the application of VICONE® vibrating discharge nozzles, as they break the bridges, destroy the chimneys and avoid demixing.

The direction of flow can be seen in the figure at the side, in the case of use of vibratory discharge inlets.

There are two types of vibratory discharge nozzles that lend themselves to correct discharge. VICONE S®, with one drive, for products with normal to heavy apparent density and the VICONE D® type, this one with double drive, for extra light products. Both systems can be equipped with electronic frequency inverters to optimize the vibration applicable to the equipment.

Among the materials that can be handled by the vibratory mouths, we can mention sugar, starch clay, aspirin granules, bauxite, bentonite, ammonium bicarbonate, sodium bicarbonate, cocoa, coffee beans, molded coffee, instant coffee, kaolin, barium carbonate, calcium carbonate, cellulose, cement, wax powder, chloromethyl cellulose, aluminum chloride, meat flour, herbal flour, wheat flour, fish flour, fossil flour, sodium fluorsilicate, gypsum, graphite, plastic granules polymer granules, hydrosulfide bleach, milk powder, yeast, brewer's yeast, magnetite, carbon black, pelletized carbon black, nitrophenol, antimony oxide, iron oxide, magnesium oxide, zinc oxide phosphorus pentasulfate, arsenic pentoxide, insecticide powder, proteins, food salt, cyanide salt, aluminum sulfate, cobalt sulfate, zinc sulfate, tobacco powder, calcium tartrate, raisins, etc.
