We are still fighting

Brazil has been hit hard by the Corona crisis.

By June 2020, around 60,000 people had died of it.

The drop in orders for new machines is catastrophic. Latin America is probably the most affected worldwide.

Mavi has so far managed to avoid layoffs starting now with reduced working hours for part of the staff and more aggressive sales tactics with better discounts and terms of payment.

Keeping the staff had a very positive effect on the workforce and even with the future reduction, the delivery times are being kept.

But the outlook is still bleak. Since this is a global crisis, the export activity for our machines will probably suffer.

In summary: wait and see, that seems to be the method.

Vimot type vibrators are still very important in these difficult times.  The devaluation of the Brazilian Real is part of it. But many companies are looking for new units.
A large order for Mavicol spiral elevators for a  company in the US is also helping.
The food sector is still very active in Brazil. And companies ordering stainless steel screening machines.
Mavi has also started to offer special repair services for older imported vibrators, for those companies not willing to invest in new units.
