One year after, another terrible month of March with serious space problems.

Delivering such an inflated array of placed orders in a small amount of time is creating a serious space occupation problem. Even with 35% of the equipment being build outside Mavi.

The internal logistic has been the most important issue these days, arranging space for all the equipment being assembled here at Mavi.

Since the beginning of 2004 the company has been experiencing an increase in heavy duty equipment orders for various customers throughout Brazil and Latin America, mainly the steel, chemical and foundries sectors.

Hopefully until June 2005, some inevitable minor delays included, all equipment ordered wil be succesfully installed and operating.

The more than 60% expected increase in the yearly turnover will probably help Mavi decide for a new location as the current area is becoming somewhat problematic for building larger machinery.

1 Despite the space problems Mavi is expecting an excellent 2005.
2 Heavy duty drives for Romi, MAN Ferrostaal , Vallourec and others awaiting final painting procedures in a "crowded" department.
3 Complicated maneauvering of equipment parts takes a little more time than expected.
4 Intermediate stock areas are becoming difficult to find as machines are being assembled.
5 Welders are an important part in the process as the internal assembly sequence must be expedited and so their work must be a fast and precise one.
6 The access corridors become partly stock areas, something not nicely accepted by the department of work inspectors...
