Composed of 6 heavy screeners 1.600 x 5.000 mm, triple deckers, with 30 kW drives, 4 large one deck 3.000 x 7.000 mm pre-scalpers also with 30 kW drives and 7 Vical -A 1.400 x 1.750 mm feeders, Vallourec-Mannesmann is expanding its Barreiro facilities in Minas Gerais, Brazil, in order to process more charcoal from its large reforestation project and replacing expensive imported material.

The screeners will process the raw charcoal splitting it in 4 important fractions to optimize the blast furnace operation. Heavy pre-screeners will receive the truck loads and separate material larger than 150 mm.

The order is to be delivered until October 2005 and is a milestone for Mavi´s experience with large charcoal screeners for up to 150 cubic meters per hour input.

Order value is US$ 1 million.
