In October 2005, the SMS-Demag has inspected and liberated for transportation to the new CST Steelworks a set of vibratory feeders electromagnetic type from Mavi, including the largest ever build in Latin-America.

26 feeders will be installed, complete with skirt boards and needle valves, for the preparation of the steel converter charges. These feeders are normally used in weighing operation due to their high precision and multi-speed adjustments.

They are controlled via electronic devices from a centralized computerized control-room. The largest unit is 2000 mm wide and 1700 mm long for a maximum output of 480 m3/h or around 1000 t/h iron ore, for example.
