Assembling a giant- Velopen screener , 2.500 x 7.000 mm

One of Brazil´s leading steel works is revamping its limestone processing unit and decided to install a new screener, contracting Mavi for the coordination.

To substitute an older Mavi Velopen type screener, Kuttner has ordered the manufacturing of probably the largest limestone screener build in Brazil.

The reliable Velopen units were the choice and the giant is being assembled at Mavi´s machine shop in São Paulo.

2.500 mm large and 7.000 mm long, driven by two E-4600 vibratory cells and a standard 50 HP three phase electric motor, the limestone output will be increased by almost 50%.

As this revamping requires a minimum of civil works to be done, the unit was conceived as a "screener in pieces", with three diferent parts, to be united as one unit after delivered to the erection site..
