CSN-Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional at Volta Redonda in the state of Rio de Janeiro has settled for Mavi two 1000 t/h 1600 mm wide x 2500 mm long Vical-A vibratory feeders. These stainless steel lined feeders are for pelletized iron ore and replace a set of smaller units imported from Japan.

Both feeders are driven by special vibratory eccentric units, synchronized by a gear system and a standard 20 HP three phase motor.

CSN and all major Latin American steel producers prefer Mavi Vical-A feeders for their robust execution and drives reliability. Surrounding components like feeding chutes, gates and discharging ramps are part of the feeder.

CSN is one of the largest steel producers in Latin America and an important customer for Vical-A feeders since the 1970´s.
