Continuous steel shot cooling system delivered to the ThyssenKrupp foundry

ThyssenKrupp Foundries in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, is revamping and increasing its steel shot processing plant, in order to modernize the complete casting process. For this purpose it contracted Mavi.

The installation is composed of a continuous heavy-duty high frequency Vigrel vibratory shake-out in order to separate castings from shell and steel shot, a vibratory ventilated Viproc continuos steel shot cooler with hood and ventilators, including a water dispersion assembly, 2500 mm wide and 8.800 mm long, Velopen vibratory screeners for the continuous separation of shot, shell parts and dust, many vibratory conveyors Vical-T and Revitran type to connect the diferent parts of the process and Vipac extra high frequency compacting tables for the casting molds.

Mavi supplied all vibratory and ventilating equipment for this new ThyssenKrupp installation.
