For the continuous cooling of castings, Mavi has developed a fully automatic Revitran conveyor, for outputs up to 40 t/h, with inlet temperatures around 450 Celsius max.

The final temperature is around 100 Celsius, exceptionally 70 degrees Celsius depending on the castings geometry. At this level, castings can be easely handled allowing the removal of risers and permitting further processing like shot-peening and others.

Basically it´s a natural frequency conveyor tuned to low rpm and thus allowing transport without damaging the castings, as well as practically silent conveying. Equipped with an integrated hood, including a special ventilating device and water spraying system. Both combined are necessary to cool castings in a very smooth and fast way.

One of the major advantages is the very low abrasion of castings and the conveyor pan itself, strongly reducing maintenance costs. This equipment easily substitutes aerial conveyors with less occupied space. The included photographs show a recently delivered castings cooler 1500 mm wide and 23000 mm long for the cooling of up to 10 t/h heavy duty castings for public works appliances.
