More heavy-duty sand and castings conveyors Revitran type, for Teksid, Brazil

Against fierce international competition, Mavi has won and delivered two extra-heavy-duty conveyors for the Teksid iron foundry in Minas Gerais, Brazil. Another two heavy electromechanical feeders were part of the contract.

Instead of complicated and maintenance intensive "driven total counterbalanced" equipment, Teksid settled for simple rugged heavy not driven counterbalanced conveyors. These machines are now build worldwide for over 60 years and their reliability is unsurpassed by recent complex developments. Less parts in the total assembly require less maintenance.

The equipment is frequency variable and this is achieved by means of a simple industrial frequency inverter. The ressonance tuning is easly done keeping the power input as low as possible.

The counter-balance (to avoid transmission of vibrations to surrounding structures) is placed on heavy-duty rubber mounts and the unit itself is able to receive a suplementary load of cement in order to reduce vibrations by increasing the counter-balance weight.
