Kuttner do Brasil has recently aquired for an important Latin-American automotive foundry a shake-out system with electronically adjustable angle of attack, therefore promoting a better separation of sand and castings, according to the current programme.

The extra-heavy unit is aprox. 6.000 mm long and 1.200 mm wide, driven by two 20 HP three-phase motors. The motors are connected to heavy-duty shafts with eccentric weights at each end. Both drives are electronically adjustable in order to establish the best process speed.

The VIGREL continuous shake-outs are a standard to Latin-American foundries and over 400 units are in operation.

The separated sand is reclaimed and processed in Mavi´s well known Viproc sand coolers.
