Due to the giant Brazilian sugar cane crop starting a little earlier in 2004, all equipment ordered from Mavi had to be delivered a lot earlier and this caused a terrible month, with extra-time to almost two complete daily shifts including weekends, the purchasing department working at full speed, two subcontracted firms assembling large portions of the equipment as almost no space in the workshop was available.
But around 70 meters of mild and stainless steel heavy-duty conveyors are going to be delivered on time, 5 giant sugar screeners, all of stainless steel, 1.400 mm wide and 4.000 mm long are also scheduled to be shipped until the end of March 2004. It is probably the busiest month in Mavi´s 43 years history, expecting a record turnover.
Included two large hospital garbage sterilizing conveyors for an important customer in Japan and many vibratory drives for many customers, including competitors who rely on Mavi´s quality.
