Velocan tubular conveyors for freeze dried coffee

Since 1990 Mavi has been delivering tubular Velocan conveyors specially built for very low temperatures. Many Brazilian and other Latin American companies chose the Velocan conveyors for their reliability.

This July Cocam, a large instant coffee producing cooperative in Brazil, received a 350 mm diameter x 5.300 mm length Velocan conveyor.

The explosion proof drives with valid Brazilian certificates were the major problem, as well as testing them at minus 45 Celsius.

Special grease had to be used and all rubber containing components had to be eliminated. But re-certification went well, drives were approved and equipment delivered.
