Hospital garbage sterilizing conveyor for Japan

Mavi has won a contract regarding a set of vibratory conveyors for the continuous sterilizing of hospital garbage at a major recycling plant near Tokyo. The largest unit is 1200 mm wide and 15.000 mm long. The special conveying deck allows hot air to be conducted all over the extruded garbage in order to sterilyze the material continuoulsy.

Here the major machine is seen being tested at Mavi in São Paulo. A variable drive has been chosen to finely adjust the conveying speed and sterilyzing process. Only very small input power is required as these natural frequency conveyors work according to the resonance principle. The 7 tons heavy machine has only a small 15 kW drive.

1 Final tests at Mavi with customer´s approval.
2 A real small drive thanks to the resonance principle, but fully adjustable.
3 The special deck helps material travel uphill (10-20 degrees) and simultaneously allows continuous sterilization
