This April Gerdau a large steel conglomerate in Brazil has started the revamping of the Barão de Cocais blast furnace and a set of Mavi Vical-A feeders, Vical-T conveyors, Velopen light screeners and Velopen WA screens have been ordered and delivered.

6 Vical-A feeders for up to 135 m3/h iron ore,  3 Vical-T conveyors for up to 150 m3/h iron ore and sinter, 3 light Velopen screening conveyors for 150 m3/h and 3 larger Velopen screens with WA drives for 100 m3/h iron ore and sinter will replace older equipment from Mavi and competitors.

Gerdau is a Mavi customer since 1961.
