MAVICOL® continuous vibratory elevators have their express use in the vertical transport of bulk materials.
Their constructive characteristics allow, in principle, their use for medium and small capacities, but they offer some advantages over conventional vertical conveyors.
The absence of moving or sliding parts, which could come into contact with the material to be transported, allows absolutely clean transport, and this is in many cases a necessary condition, for example in the food industry.
For transport under conditions that must meet hygienic requirements, epoxy coatings can be used on the conductor chutes, or the equipment can be made entirely of stainless steel.
The transportation of hot materials is also possible.
Without a doubt the continuous vibratory elevator MAVICOL® can be used in all sectors where a long conveying path is convenient, for example if the product has to be cooled, heated or dried.
In these cases, the MAVICOL® system can be equipped with double conductor ducts for water cooling, openings in the central pipe for ventilation (cold or hot air), with the air being blown over the product. Or the system can be completely closed, in case the product is transported in inert atmosphere, hot air, etc. (see explanatory diagrams in the next section).
Compatible for vertical vibratory conveying are all bulk materials whose composition does not contain a large proportion of powdery material, such that they cause runoff and do not have strong adhesive properties. In each case it is advisable to examine the material in detail and, if in doubt, to test it with a small amount of material.
Continuous vibratory elevators MAVICOL® are composed of a narrow trough wrapped helically around a vertical tube. The vibratory drive is provided by two VIMOT® vibrators, manufactured by us, which are attached to the lower or upper part of the central tube. This type of drive produces a helically shaped vibratory motion. The elevator is arranged on springs that are dimensioned so as not to propagate vibrations to other structures or to the ground.
Vibratory elevators are also manufactured for the continuous or discontinuous supply of parts for furnaces, automatic machine tools, presses, etc. They are normally of low height and equipped with devices for guiding the pieces in a predetermined direction. This system is called MAVICOL OR®.
