Vimot® motovibrators basically consist of an asynchronous three-phase motor and inertial masses (counterweights) adjustable in their eccentricity, through relative positioning between them.
The asynchronous three-phase motor with short-circuited rotor has a special vibration-impact proof coil.
The motovibrator assembly is totally enclosed, which enables it to resist vapors and materials in suspension in the atmosphere, as well as water jets from all directions.
It can operate submerged, if necessary.
Inertial masses are mounted at both ends of the rotor, and can be positioned in such a way as to make it possible to adjust the vibratory impact between 0 and 100%.
To allow great durability, the bearing supports are made of nodular cast iron, allowing great dissipation of vibratory impacts, without fractures.
Special care is taken as to the dimensioning of the special parallel cylindrical roller bearings for motors with power above 0.7kW, and double ball bearings for lower power.
The Vimot® motovibrators are lubricated for a minimum of 60,000 hours of continuous work, with no need for re-lubrication, with special grease of extremely high pressure and resistance. The bearings are shielded in their supports, with steel blades or special high-strength rubber retainers.
The winding is special, with lower power, due to the fact that the motovibrators are not equipped with external ventilation. For high frequencies (above 3,000 rpm) Vimot® vibration motors have an exclusive (patent pending) anti-vibration protection system that avoids friction between the wires of the stator coils, without risk of burning out.
All the motovibrators can be regulated by frequency inverters up to their nominal rotation, or doubled to 7,000 rpm in the vibration motors that work with ball bearings.
They can be connected to three-phase current of 220/380/440V (60/50Hz) or to special voltages upon request.
All Vimot® motovibrators are tropicalized for operation in humid or saline environments.
