Screw conveyors

For individual lengths up to 12000mm and flow rates between 1m³/h and 305 m³/h. Driven by SEW gearmotor.

Types of materials

The physical characteristics are the most important in the materials to be transported. The maximum grain size and its percentage incidence in the material flow must be observed.

The table below indicates the diameter as a function of these parameters.

Simply choose the incident percentage of the grain, its diameter, and follow vertically to get the minimum conveyor diameter.

Material Classes

A-Class

Degree of filling of the conveyor up to 45% of the cross-sectional area. Conveying speed up to 0.6m/s. The materials are normally free-flowing. Flours, fine dry charcoal and minerals, and agricultural grains in general (corn, soy beans, etc.)

B-Class

Filling degree up to 30%. Transport speed of approximately 0.42m/s. Materials with some degree of difficulty in their transportability. They are somewhat abrasive, fine or of reduced granulometry, and sometimes mixed with fine material. Granulated coal, rock salt, cement, etc.

C-Class

Filling degree up to 15%. Speed up to 0.27m/s. In this class of materials we have the group composed of highly abrasive, fibrous and containing coarse granules. Difficult to transport. For example ashes, coke, earth with pebbles, sand and others.

Intermediate bearing, when the length is greater than 2.5 m.
