The VIPROC sand-cooler with Uhde technology is a specially build vibratory conveyor which receives the hot sand from the shake-out operations. Through special perforated plates and a high performance ventilating system the sand stream is fluidized and a special misting section allows water to cool the hot sand additionally. All this controlled via computer or PLC. A temperature drop from 120 Celsius to 45 Celsius is possible, with a maximum capacity of 250 t/h.VIBRAPEN sand screeners are practically a must in modern foundries in order to have a smooth castings finishing. Small cast iron droplets, core sand pieces and other material is removed from the cooled sand, returning first quality material to the molding operations.
