Vibratory feeders and conveyors for bulk materials are preferably, up to a length limit of 10 meters per unit, driven by Vimot® motovibrators and can reach flow rates of 1,500 m3/h. Their most diffused use is in silo unloading, when mounted under their discharge mouths, transferring the flow of material to belts, screw conveyors, mills, rotary valves, etc.
In steel mills in general, practically all silo unloading is done through vibratory feeders or conveyors, as well as in the cement, food, and petrochemical industries. Because there are no rotating parts in contact with the flow of material, the feeder or vibratory conveyor is transformed into very low-wear equipment, both for itself and for the material being conveyed.
In vibratory feeders and conveyors, such as the Vical-A® and Vical-T® models from Mavi Máquinas Vibratórias Ltda., the motovibrators are always fixed in pairs so that there is self-synchronization of rotation and elimination of elliptical vibrations. Therefore, the vibratory conveyors in this configuration do not require negative tilt to move the bulk material.
